When you buy cialis, is this like buying an aphrodisiac?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 22nd, 2010
It’s almost impossible to separate sex from psychology. When all is working well, self-esteem and confidence are at high levels. When things are not working so well, this undermines confidence and many feel depressed. If the problems persist, the depression can become severe. There are a range of fancy words that are paraded out at this point: impotence, erectile dysfunction, libido, and so on. The precise details of the physical difficulties also vary. A man may find it difficult or impossible to get an erection, or a hard erection may disappear suddenly during sexual activity, or there may be premature ejaculation, and so on. It’s convenient to group all the different forms of failure under one label. But this depersonalizes the problem. Instead of seeing it as “your” problem, doctors start talking about general trends and how the majority can be treated. When you want someone to pay attention to your situation, you find people talking about you as if you are not in the room or talking in generalities. So let’s avoid all this slightly embarrassed discussion and get down to basics.
In some cultures, men who have sexual difficulties rely on traditional remedies. These substances are called aphrodisiacs - the word coming from Aphrodite who, in ancient Greece, was the Goddess of Love - and they are believed to improve sexual desire and performance. Examples range from herbs, the powdered horns of large animals to preparations made from beetles and insects. In the majority of cases, these have no physical effect on the body but, because they are recommended by respected authority figures in the local society, the affected men usually find them effective. This goes to prove the general rule that, if the mind is willing, the body responds. The medical profession calls this the “placebo effect”.
There are three prescription only medications on the market to treat erectile dysfunction. Chemically, they all rely on the same basic active ingredients and work in the same way. Recently, the American College of Physicians asked the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to find out whether there was any evidence to show that one was more effective than the other two. There have only been four clinical trials making a direct comparison between the three and 122 trials studying the drugs individually. The conclusion was that the three drugs are broadly similar in their levels of effectiveness and safety. But the majority of men preferred one of the drugs because, in one form, it produces thirty-six hours of sexual potency. In the once-daily form, men taking the drug have levels of response broadly the same as “normal” men who have not been affected by erectile dysfunction. Thus, in terms of convenience and effect, an increasing majority of men prefer to buy cialis. However, this system of recommendation and sale by word-of-mouth, is exactly the same as the process for selling oysters as an aphrodisiac. Merely suggesting that oysters give you great sex sells them. It’s the same with drugs. If men are recommended one drug and they have a good experience with it, they may never try the others. Trusting the product to give a known result creates buying habits. In this instance, unlike oysters, cialis has a very precise physical effect which gives sexual responsiveness. Comparing it to an aphrodisiac for marketing purposes is fair. Otherwise, you can trust cialis to work, no matter what others may tell you.
How to manage your phobia
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 22nd, 2010
About 19 million US citizens have been diagnosed with various phobias that really aggravate their wellbeing. The most widely spread types of phobias are social and specific phobia. Those who suffer from social phobia have a very hard time while being in various social situations, constantly expecting embarrassment, discomfort or even fear. Specific phobias make the patient extremely fearful when it comes to dealing with a specific object or situation, like flying or dealing with animals. Phobias force people to avoid many activities that in other way would be very pleasant and entertaining, for example flying or climbing, imposing many restrictions on their lifestyles.
Phobias can be characterized as a state of irrational fear that is caused by a faulty thought pattern that also leads to physical discomfort. This is the point where the brain triggers the “flight or fight” mechanism, which is a rudimentary self-preservation pattern, controlling the production of adrenalin and helping the individual deal with potentially life-threatening situations. What happens in case of a phobia is that this mechanism is triggered when there’s no real danger. And the best way to avoid such “danger” is to scare the individual into a safe place or situation. The problem here is that phobias can be developed from contacting with people, animals, objects or situations that other people would regard as totally safe and even pleasing.
But you have to bear in mind that it’s not insanity in any way. You may feel like you’re going out of your mind because of the overwhelming sensations and fear that simply jam your sense of consciousness. But the good news is that phobias can be effectively treated.
Phobias are cured by changing the thought mechanisms that trigger adrenalin output and fear by gradually exposing the patient to the object of their fear. This way the patient becomes more accustomed to the object or situation, which in other case would be avoided, and learns how to cope with it. This also reduces the individual’s sensitivity to adrenalin, as it doesn’t provide the same anxious effect over a prolonged period of time.
The best way to reduce adrenalin is exercising on a daily basis. In this way you will be able to both burn the excess levels of the substance and reduce your sensitivity to it. Doctors also recommend reducing the intake of any substances that are similar to adrenalin such as nicotine, caffeine, marijuana and alcohol. Some people regard marijuana and alcohol as good ways to reduce anxiety and it really works in the short-run. But in the long run the overall anxiety will only get aggravated, sometimes joined by substance abuse. Special types of breathing such as diaphragmatic breathing also help cope with anxiety associated with phobias.
If you experience severe anxiety there are many medications that can help you cope with this conditions. Buying drugs like Xanax won’t actually cure you from phobia but it will make it a lot easier to handle fearful situations and make the treatment a lot more effective.
Overcoming phobia is of course a matter of self-confidence and effort that you have to make over yourself and be confident that you can overcome the condition. Imagine what you would say to your friend suffering from phobia to make him or her feel safer, and say it to yourself. Of course, drugs like Xanax and other anti-anxiety medications will help you, but it’s only you who can make them really effective. Bear that in mind!
Is the affordable sex medication risky?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 22nd, 2010
In case you didn’t know, erectile dysfunction is one of the most talked about problems of the century. It doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong with people nowadays. It means we are open to discuss the matter that bothers us and people around us willing to find a way to live a good sexual life.
ED - is the other, shorter name, for the Erectile Dysfunction, which means problematic erection and inability to sustain it. Therapy of Erectile Dysfunction is set to bring the blood flow into penis and make it produce a healthy erection. But what everyone must know here that Cialis or Viagra as well as other sex medications can destroy you if taken inappropriately. Journalists from Florida have recently came up with shocking statistics showing that the tragic outcomes can occur if those pills are consumed by people with heart problems. University of Florida could not stay indifferent and decided to respond to this statement by telling there is no technical proof that those of us who might have cardiovascular malady meet a higher risk of death while consuming the sex pill.
More than 150 million men all around the world meet the ED issues in their day-to-day life. Cardiologic researches stated that there is equitable verification to openly tie a bigger than prior rate of vitality with heart patients with Erectile Dysfunction issues with the consumption of sex medication. The number of life losses was almost equal in every respect to persons with heart attack who were cured with a placebo or any other medication that could have caused death to the heart sensitive.
The contrary effects of cardiovascular sickness, in opposition to death or any tragic outcome, are on account of a compound interaction with different risk factors that strengthen the sickness and its demonstration, together with a large number of emotional difficulties or bothers such as melancholy and zero self-security to ass to a small number of physiological factors that do count as well. Israeli along with Australian scientists have found that small amounts of the drug dissolved in a bottle of water is able to also enhance the lifespan of flower bouquets, allowing them to stand up straight for a week more than their ordinary natural life. This proves that the sex pill works its magic on the man and if we want to believe that with our heart then the result will be satisfactory too.
To wrap it all up on a fine note, we must admit that sex medication have helped lots and lots of people worldwide that live a healthy sex life every single day due to the effectiveness of the drugs like Cialis. We must take advantage of the medical progresses and make their innovation and inventions work on our benefit. Erectile Dysfunction is not something to be ashamed of. Of course, it is not something you usually boast with but many people seem to have found a way of dealing with this issue and because of that we have witnessed some of the happiest families. Don’t be afraid of fixing your sex life if something is going wrong in it. Talk to your doctor and sort it all out. Your problems have never been this common and so easily fixed.
What’s the relationship between stress and acne?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 21st, 2010
At one level, this can look like a really stupid question. Anyone who has ever had acne will know that the reaction of others to the appearance of pimples causes stress. In fact, as a teenager, getting through the weeks or months of acne can be a real challenge to self-confidence. Just as you are growing into your own skin and working out who you are, the world suddenly treats you as a disease carrier and disrespects you. But this rather misses the point. Medically, it’s important to know whether stress causes acne or, once it has arrived, makes it worse. If it does, teaching relaxation techniques could be either a preventative measure or an effective treatment. Even if there is no medical evidence of benefits, there can be emotional benefits from relaxation and breathing exercises.
Until the turn of the century, there was little research into this issue. This is a highly profitable business for both drug companies and the cosmetics industry. What cannot be cured can be covered up with foundation powders and creams. To spend money on research into whether this profitably combined industry can be swept away by simple relaxation exercises is therefore not encouraged. Every possible source of funding would turn the interests of researchers into the development of new drugs, creams and powders. However, at some point, medical curiosity is raised and small-scale clinical trials are run. Universities are supposed to be set up to engage in blue-sky not commercial research. Thus, for example, a survey involving only twenty-two students at Stanford University School of Medicine “proved” that the stress of examinations worsened acne. When this was combined with changes in diet, the acne became even more severe. Unfortunately, the number of participants is not statistically significant and, as with similar studies, it’s not possible to generalize the findings to the general population. For now, the profits of the drug and cosmetic companies are safe.
Nevertheless, stress should remain on the research agenda. In theory, stress stimulates the release of the steroid cortisol, adrenaline and other hormones into the blood stream. Even in women, male hormones associated with excess oil production are released. Stress also affects the auto-immune system and interferes with the healing process. This slows down the recovery from the infections in the pores caused by the bacteria. Even unscientific observations show more inflamed papules filled with puss during stressful periods. Thus, relaxation exercises should become a regular part of life for everyone who suffers from acne.
Even if this does not prevent acne, it will improve recovery time and give people a psychological lift. Anything that helps people face the world with more confidence is a good thing. For those who remain sceptical, the best solution is to buy accutane online. This is the most powerful of the drugs used to treat acne and, in the vast majority of cases, clears up the skin during the first period of treatment. Given the savings that can be made when you buy online, cheap accutane is the best way to beat acne when relaxation is not an acceptable strategy.
Should we make time for meditation?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 21st, 2010
There is always a point where science collides with belief systems and sparks fly. Looking around the US right now, the continuing confrontation over the teaching of evolution is a classic example. At a slightly lower level of intensity is the continuing conflict between the “hard science” doctors and those who are persuaded that there are alternative approaches to treatment with equally good outcomes. Take acupuncture as an example. This comes out of nearly two thousand years of medical experience in China. Even though some of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) methods have been displaced in favor of Western methods, the healthcare service in many Asian and ASEAN countries continues to rely on acupuncture as an effective treatment for a range of different problems. Putting TCM to one side, there are also major claims made for different forms of meditation. Some are explicitly rooted in religions. Others are directly adapted to the management of pain. Unfortunately, the Enlightenment and the adoption of the scientific method by Western doctors leads them to a quick dismissal of everything not backed up by their science. Even when shown perfectly respectable research proving some of the claims for “unscientific” methods, they still refuse to even consider them. Their prejudices are deep-seated.
In the case of meditation, there is a growing body of Western-based research using the scientific method which shows excellent outcomes when people suffering from chronic pain are taught how to meditate. In essence, the point is to change the attitude of people towards their pain. Put another way: the level of intensity of the pain stays the same but the people change their emotional reaction to it. At some level, this represents a form of intellectual distraction. People are trained how to disconnect themselves from the pain and to search for ways to live their lives without worrying about it. Too often, people allow the pain to dominate their every waking moments. They fear the pain will always be there and this becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy that blights their lives. Avoiding this fear and focussing instead on positive ways to cope with the reality of the pain allows people to rebuild their daily lives and to function more effectively.
There is an old saying: give a starving man a fish and he eats well that night, but teach him how to fish and he can eat well every night. Teaching people how to meditate is the latter. It gives them a path to follow for the rest of their lives. For some there is a problem. It’s not a quick fix. rather it relies on them to invest time and effort into solving their own problems. At first, there may be a place for painkillers and tramadol is probably the best for relieving moderate to severe pain. But as people begin to feel the benefit flowing from this new discipline for the mind, the need for drugs will diminish. The ideal is to live without the help of any drug. If your private health insurance includes meditation for pain management, get an early appointment. If you have some savings, it is a good investment. Otherwise, buy tramadol online. It will give you relief while the healthcare service catches up with the best research.
When should you consider gastric surgery?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 21st, 2010
It’s not so hard to admit the risks associated with your high body weight. Wherever you look, the medical evidence of a link between excessive weight and high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease is obvious. Unlike climate change where there are doubts about the science, you put your health at risk if you allow those additional pounds to stay on your body. Except what is easy to say is difficult to act in in the cold, hard light of day. Let’s face it, if losing weight was easy, most people would do it. The fact that the majority put a brave face on things and continue life as best they can is an indication of just how difficult it is to diet.
Why is eating less so difficult? It all comes from childhood. From the beginning, we see adults packing away large quantities of food. The portions put in front of us are big, so we adjust to eating more. By the time we grow into adults, we are conditioned to eat more and habits are hard to break. That’s what may make gastric surgery look an attractive option. You go into hospital. A band or staples are inserted to physically limit the amount you can pack into your stomach. No matter what your eyes may tell you, you will be full after just a few regular mouthfuls. Nature then takes over and your body will now burn the stored fat as energy. After six months, you can be back to a thin body shape. But life is not easy. While you are adjusting to eating less food, you will feel some discomfort.
It is not hunger as such because your stomach will tell your brain it is full. Your body will nevertheless register the weight loss. This tricks some people into forcing more food into their stomachs. They feel they should eat more even though the messages from the stomach deny it. Because of these psychological risks, surgeons prefer only to operate on people who already have symptoms of disease arising from their high BMI. They must have made real attempts to lose weight the conventional way and convince the surgeons they are motivated to eat responsibly after surgery. If the operation is approved, it costs about $17,000 for keyhole surgery and $26,000 for the full operation. Given the savings on the treatment of the obesity-related diseases, you will recover these costs in between two and four years. Many health insurance companies will pay for these operations.
Surgery is always risky and many prefer to avoid it if possible. This leaves dieting, an exercise program and meridia as the only choice. Eating smaller portions of healthy food starts off the process. Exercise burns off more pounds. Meridia keeps your appetite under control and maintains your motivation while the pounds come off. Note the key word, “motivation”. It all comes down to you to keep to the healthy path. If your will is not strong enough, you will lapse into the old habit pattern of eating too much of all the wrong foods. If that happens to you, it may suggest surgery is not for you. Overeating with a stapled stomach damages your body.
Sometimes using a word can change the cultural reaction to its meaning
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 18th, 2010
There’s an obscure branch of science called semiotics. It studies the process called communication. How a message is passed from one point to another using signs and symbols. So, birds and frogs sing to attract mates. Other species of animals and plants release chemicals into the environment to mark their territory, tell each other when they are fertile and ready for action, and so on. Humans have developed language so that meaning is attached to sounds or images. At the simplest level, everyone will recognize the noises made when people are in pain or happy. Groans and laughter are universal. But then it gets complicated because different languages used in different cultures produce different meanings for the same sounds or images. For example, the several hundred million people in Indonesia and Malaysia (more than currently live in the US) think that the three letters “air” mean “water”. In fact, groups of letters can be given any meaning. Some of these meanings will be kind, others less so. To understand these meanings, you have to be in the culture. Someone who is not a native speaker will never understand all the different shades of possible meaning in a given language.
One of the most feared words is most cultures is “acne”. It may only be four letters, but to people approaching puberty or their parents and family, this is something to dread. There seems to be no end to the cruelty of humans to each other. Once a difference emerges in a group, it’s picked on as something terrible and the attacks begin. Only those who match the norms are safe. That means anyone whose skin suddenly erupts into pimples is treated as a plague carrier. Their personal hygiene standards are criticized and every aspect of their character is put under the microscope. This treatment is damaging to self-esteem. Confidence fades when you are victimized in this way. What should be a normal part of growing up that everyone accepts becomes a dangerous rite of passage. There are only two ways to deal with this problem. Either the culture must change to be more forgiving of difference or the medical profession must supply a “cure”.
Against this background, it’s fascinating to see the spread of “acne” as a brand. Now emerging from Sweden on to the world market comes Acne, the fashion label, and Acne Paper, the fashion magazine. The fashion house has just opened its first store in New York offering a wide range of own-label clothing from fashion jeans to stylish dresses and blazers. It’s also working on furniture, music and movies. The magazine is also about design. It’s mainly European in style. The importance of the use of this word is that it may begin the process of changing culture. If more people wear the clothes, sit on the furniture, read the magazine and listen to the music, the horror of the word may start to fade. People will still be cruel to each other but they may pick on different features. Until we get this cultural revolution, you can always rely on the drug market for relief. Buy accutane online and find an effective treatment almost every time. Better still, using an online pharmacy lets you buy cheap accutane - treatment is always better value when it’s affordable.
If in pain, stroke a dog
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 18th, 2010
If you ask any cat or dog owner, they will tell the animals are one of the family. Talk to them for a while and they will strike you as happy and well-adjusted. This might not seem significant but continuing medical research has detected a significant trend. This is not just your neighbor. It’s the majority of people who keep a pet. The most recent piece of research was presented to the International Society of Anthrozoology conference held in Kansas City this October by a team from Loyola University of Chicago.
They were testing the hypothesis that the use of dogs in a hospital environment would represent a beneficial therapy, promoting faster healing and a better rehabilitation following joint replacement surgery. Some of you will be convinced that dogs are the equivalent of plague carriers and believe they should never be allowed into a hopefully relatively sterile hospital. After all, dogs are barred from most eating places. Allowing animals into public spaces is a balancing of risks and benefits. Hospitals are not as clean as we might believe and dogs do not make what is often a bad situation any worse. In fact, their presence is proving to be great therapy and the benefits of admission now significantly outweigh keeping them out.
The team was using a number of dogs specially trained to respond positively to patients. Each animal has been taught some 40 different commands and will respond with behavior likely to soothe a patient or to motive his or her to resume movement. The exploits a fairly common reaction in humans to stroke dogs. Many find the feeling of fingers running on and through fur to be relaxing. When the dogs also appear to show appreciation, bonding takes place quickly and patients feel happier. Pets are stress busters. Even more significantly, this research confirms that patients going through rehabilitation with dogs healed more quickly and used 50% less painkillers than a control group who relied on human therapists for counseling and support. Regular monitoring found the pets lowered the heart rate and blood pressure of their human companions. In every sense, the trial has proved a real success and more hospitals in Chicago are now being introduced to the use of these dogs. The expectation is that more dogs will be required and a training program is being organized.
It’s easy to sneer at research like this, feeling people who get sappy over dogs are strange in all kinds of ways. Yet this research is not unique. There have been many studies with similar findings. The real point of interest in the latest trial is the finding that patients who are not pet owners benefit after only one period of interaction with a dog. The more regular the contact, the better the human’s physical and emotional response. This research does not, of course, suggest people should recover from serious surgery without the use of some painkillers. Tramadol will remain the standard drug for pain management. But the finding that people recover more quickly using less medication is encouraging. No matter how good tramadol, it’s better to use it only over the short term. Having a pet is clearly a good move.
It’s spooky what people say about painkillers
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 18th, 2010
This article is being written in the run-up to Halloween when everyone with a playful disposition applies make-up, sticks on SFX bullet wounds and acts the part of one of the living dead or some creature escaping from a horror movie. Once a year, it’s good therapy to pretend to be seriously injured. Except the rest of the year, there are millions of people who have to get up in the morning and struggle to school or work. For them, the reality is anything but fun. They are the foot soldiers in the war against pain and, for the majority, this means relying on medication to get through the day. Interestingly, the latest piece of research out of Boston University shows a significantly higher number of people using an opiate painkiller than found in earlier studies. This increase may be due to better research methods, the fact that people are more prepared to be honest about their drug use, or that more people have come to rely on drugs to control their pain.
The research was run through a telephone survey. The team randomly picked 20,000 adults and called them up to ask about their drug use. Using statistics to scale up the numbers across the country, the researchers conclude that, at any one time, about 4 million adult Americans are regularly taking an opioid drug for pain relief. This suggests that a large number of adults feels pain of sufficient intensity to justify taking a prescription-only drug. This is worrying on two counts. First that so many people experience such serious pain. Secondly, that they should be resorting to powerful drugs to control it. This is not to say that people should not take powerful drugs. Obviously, anyone in serious pain must have the right to take the best drug to control it. But there is an inference that people are actually abusing these powerful drugs. In many states, it’s a criminal offense to be in possession of these drugs without a prescription. When you buy tramadol online, there’s no need to produce a prescription. The pharmacist will ask a number of questions designed to test whether you can safely take the drug. If you give the right answers, you get the drug without the need to supply a prescription. Thus, the only people likely to admit taking a powerful painkiller are either those who have a prescription or those who do not know the criminal law.
Put simply, people have changed their attitude to pain. Twenty and more years ago, there was more respect for powerful drugs. People hesitated before taking them. Today, many casually take these drugs for a headache or a level of pain that previously would have been tolerated. Cheap tramadol is available to buy online without a prescription. This removes many of the safeguards that kept these drugs for the more serious conditions. Now, anyone can store them in their bathroom cabinets against the possibility of pain. In a sense, the problem is that tramadol has become so well-recognized as an effective painkiller, people routinely turn to it. This suggests the need to educate the public into a more responsible attitude to the opioids. Just because you can buy tramadol online so cheaply, does not mean you should.
